Old Grand Dad 7 Year Old is a high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon with a seven-year age statement, in a 75cl bottle. It is produced by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. and bottled in bond under the requirements of the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act.
The brand's spicy, nutty character is softened by extended maturation in oak, giving a rounded, medium-bodied bourbon.
The nose is caramel, toasted oak and vanilla, with peanut brittle, citrus peel and a hint of mint. On the palate come brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and orange zest, and the finish is long and warming, with baking spice and rye pepper.
