Old Grand Dad 80 Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey made with a mash containing a high proportion of rye. Its name is a nickname for distiller Basil Hayden, whose portrait also appears on the label.
The whiskey matures in new oak casks before being bottled at 40% ABV, equivalent to 80 proof. This expression comes in a one-litre bottle.
