Omar Bourbon Cask Strength is a single malt from Nantou Distillery in Taiwan, matured in American bourbon casks for more than four years and bottled by hand at cask strength. This bottling is 55.7% in a 70cl bottle, made without added colouring or chill-filtration.
Nantou treats it as its representative whisky, and as the model of ex-bourbon cask whisky in Taiwan. The colour is a deep golden.
On the nose there are yellow flowers, honey, butter, citrus and dried longan, with joss stick and angelica. The palate is complex, moving from sweetness to bitterness and back to sweetness. The finish is long, with joss stick, butter and citrus.
