Omar Bourbon Cask Strength is a Taiwanese single malt from Nantou, matured in American bourbon casks for more than four years. It is bottled by hand at cask strength, here at 55.7%, in a 700ml bottle, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The whisky is chosen by a panel of qualified tasters and is described as the representative whisky of Nantou Distillery.
It is deep golden in colour. The aroma brings yellow flowers, honey, butter, citrus and dried longan, with joss stick and angelica root behind. The palate is complex, moving from sweetness to bitterness and back to sweetness, and the finish is long with joss stick, butter and citrus.
