Omar Bourbon is a single malt whisky distilled and bottled in Taiwan at Nantou Distillery. It matured for more than four years in American bourbon casks and was bottled by hand at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring or chill-filtration.
The whisky was chosen by a panel of qualified tasters and won a Gold Award at the International Spirits Challenge in 2020. It has a deep golden colour.
The nose combines yellow flowers, honey, butter, citrus and dried longan, with touches of joss stick and angelica sinensis. The palate moves from sweetness to bitterness and back to sweetness, and the finish is long, with butter and citrus.
