Omar IPA Cask Finish Cask Strength is a Taiwanese whisky from the Omar Distillery, in a 70cl bottle. After its first maturation it is finished in casks previously seasoned with India Pale Ale, and it is bottled at natural cask strength.
The nose combines grapefruit and orange peel with fresh hop character, malt, tropical fruit and a hint of vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, starting with malt and caramel before a burst of hoppy bitterness, with pineapple, mango and ginger spice over a creamy texture. The finish is long and warming, with hop resin, citrus, malty sweetness and gentle oak spice.
