Omar Lychee Liqueur Barrel Finished Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 53%)

This is a cask strength single malt from Nantou Distillery in Taiwan, bottled at 53% in a 70cl bottle. It spent three to four years maturing in ex-bourbon casks before a finish in a barrel that had held lychee liqueur, made from fresh lychees grown on the mountain near the distillery. It is amber in colour. The nose brings pineapple, orange, malt, vanilla, toffee, lychee and wood. The palate is sweet with lychee and a hint of butter and honey, and the finish is smooth, fruity and oaky.
