Omar Plum Liqueur Barrel Finish is a Taiwanese single malt bottled at cask strength, 53% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in plum liqueur barrels, a nod to the green plums of Nantou that the distillery uses to make fruit wine.
The whisky has a bronze colour. The nose offers smoked plum, joss stick and spice, with wild tropical fruit sweetness and fruit fudge. The palate is heavy, both sour and sweet, with green plum, vanilla and creamy candy notes. The finish is long and complex, with liquorice, orange peel and oak.
