Omar Orange Brandy Cask Finish is a single malt from the Nantou Distillery in Taiwan, released in a limited run. It is bottled at 54% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in Taiwan and finished in orange brandy casks, which bring a citrus character to the malt.
The nose is bright mandarin, candied orange peel and sweet oak with a touch of spice. The palate is bold, with honeyed barley, ripe apricot, clove and citrus-liqueur warmth. The finish is long and zesty, with orange marmalade and toasted nuts.
