Omar Single Malt Plum Liqueur Cask Finish is a single malt from Nantou Distillery in Nantou County, Taiwan, bottled at cask strength, 52%, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release.
The malt is made from malted barley, distilled in copper pot stills and matured in Taiwan's warm, humid climate. It then spends a finishing period in locally sourced plum liqueur casks.
On the nose there are ripe plums, honey, vanilla and soft floral notes. The palate is sweet and fruity, with juicy plum, dried apricot and creamy malt, and the finish is long, warm and gently tart.
