Omar Virgin Oak Cask Strength Single Malt (70cl, 58%)

This is a cask strength single malt from Omar, made at Nantou Distillery in Taiwan and bottled at 58% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in new oak, in the warm, humid climate of Taiwan, and has a deeper colour than other Omar bottlings, a bright copper gold. The virgin oak brings pronounced tannin and woody, spicy flavours such as white pepper, saffron and cinnamon. The nose is spicy, with caramel, vanilla and smooth butter. The palate is full-bodied, with clear tannin, vanilla, fruit and butter. The finish is woody, rich and sweet, with fruit and spice.
