Orphan Barrel Forged Oak is a 15 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from the Bernheim distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, which is part of Diageo. It is bottled at 45.25% ABV (90.5 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
The name points to the American white oak barrel, which turns new make spirit into bourbon over the 15 years the spirit spent in the Bernheim warehouses. The distillate keeps vibrant fruit and caramel character alongside the integrated oak.
