Paul John Classic Select Cask is an unpeated Indian single malt from John Distilleries in Goa, bottled at cask strength, 55.2% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from Indian six-row barley, distilled in copper pot stills and matured in American oak in a tropical climate, in casks chosen for their profiles. It is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose is fruity and malty, with honey and a hint of bourbon. The palate brings malted barley, bourbon and manuka honey-liquorice, then a toasted honeycomb note. The finish is elegant and soft, with juicy Demerara tones and a long, friendly warmth.
