Paul John Edited is an Indian single malt from Goa, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is made from Indian six-row barley, about 85% unpeated and about 15% Scottish peated, twice distilled in copper pot stills and matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The name refers to the vatting. Master distiller Michael John D'Souza selects and marries unpeated and peated casks, aiming for a restrained, layered smokiness. It is non-chill-filtered. The nose brings honey, cocoa and espresso, with red plum, fennel seed and a little peaty smoke. The palate is grassy and sweet, with gentle peat, mocha, demerara sugar, mint and burnt orange peel. The finish is long, with chocolate-mint, liquorice and toasted oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
