Peerless Small Batch Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Rye is a rye from Kentucky Peerless in Louisville, bottled at barrel strength with no water added. It is non-chill-filtered and made by a sweet-mash process.
On the nose there are bright spearmint, rye spice and cedar, with vanilla, brown sugar and cinnamon. The palate is bold, with rye spice, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, mint and oak. The finish is long, with vanilla toffee and crème brûlée alongside pepper, oak and spice.
