Penderyn – 12 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

This is a 12 year old Penderyn single malt from Wales, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is chill-filtered, has no added colouring and is not peated. The twelve years of maturation give it a pronounced fruit side, with vanilla and oak alongside red berries, plums and honeyed malt. The nose offers vanilla and honey with orchard fruit, red berries and plum, plus a mild oak spice. The palate is full and soft, with vanilla fudge, baked apple, cherry, spiced plum and some nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, red berries and toasted oak.
