Penderyn – 21 Year Old Single Cask 2nd Fill Bourbon Cask #183/2005 (70cl, 57.1%)

A 21-year-old single cask Penderyn from Wales, matured in a second-fill bourbon cask (183/2005) and bottled at a cask strength of 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no colouring added. Penderyn was founded in 2000 and was the first whisky distillery in Wales for over a century. It distils in a single stage in a copper still designed by Dr David Faraday. The nose is lightly fruity with a gentle sweetness. The palate is complex and fruity, with a pleasant warmth, and the finish is long, balancing sweetness and spice.
