Penderyn Celt is a Welsh single malt finished in ex-peated quarter casks and bottled at 41%. It carries a Kosher certificate. The nose is mild, with peat smoke, a rocky seaside in the early morning and warm marmalade on toast. The palate opens with great sweetness before smoky, slightly medicinal flavours follow. A slight bitterness comes in the finish, which leaves a long, lingering freshness in the mouth.
