Penderyn Celt is a Welsh single malt, added to the Penderyn range in 2015 and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in peated casks, which bring a subtle, elegant wisp of smoky peat.
The nose is mild, with peat smoke, a rocky seaside morning and warm marmalade on toast. The palate begins with great sweetness before smoky, slightly medicinal flavours follow. A slight bitterness comes in the finish, which leaves a long, lingering freshness in the mouth.
