Penderyn Copperopolis - Icons of Wales #12 - Sweet Red Wine Finish

Penderyn Copperopolis is the twelfth bottling in the Icons of Wales series from the Welsh distillery, finished in sweet red wine. The nose opens with marmalade, citrus blossom and fresh peaches drizzled with honey, with delicate spice, vanilla and oak arriving gradually. On the palate it is silky and sweet, with liquid honey, plump raisins and figs, gentle woody spice and rich caramel. The finish is lively, with candied orange and cherry jam dipped in dark chocolate, followed by dry oak and a touch of warm ginger.
