Penderyn Copperopolis is a Welsh single malt and the 12th release in the Icons of Wales series, which here celebrates Swansea's historic copper-smelting industry. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is finished in sweet red wine casks.
The nose is floral and fruity, with orange blossom, peaches, cherries and orange peel, followed by vanilla, honey and lightly spiced dried fruit. The palate is rich, with caramel and honey sweetness, raisins, figs and gentle oak spices. The finish is dry oak with lingering citrus sweetness and a dusting of cocoa.
