Penderyn Legend – Floral & Fruity (70cl, 40%)

Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt from the Penderyn distillery and part of its Dragon Range. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no colour added. Its character comes from a finish in Madeira wine casks, which adds warm fruit and a gentle sweetness to a light, fresh spirit. The nose combines green apples and zesty citrus with creamy toffee and fudge and sweet sultanas. The palate is soft and smooth, with fresh and dried fruit, a delicate sweetness and a slight bitterness. In the long finish the Madeira cask comes forward, with Madeira cake and sultanas.
