Penderyn Rich Oak is a Welsh single malt from Penderyn Distillery, part of its Gold Series. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and European ex-wine casks. The wine casks add body, spice and oak to the distillery's light distillate.
The nose offers vanilla, light spice, ripe fruit and soft oak. The palate is round and full, with honey, caramel, spice and toasted wood. The finish is medium long, warm and slightly spicy, with a dry woody note.
