Penderyn Rich Oak Finish is a Welsh single malt bottled at 46%. It matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in European ex-wine casks that had been re-worked by scraping, toasting and re-charring, a method known as STR. It is non-chill-filtered, of natural colour and certified kosher.
The nose opens with dark chocolate fudge, cinnamon and pepper, followed by juicy green apple, mango, banana and guava. The palate is rich and creamy, with vanilla, oak, cinnamon and a touch of nutty toffee. The finish is long, with vanilla lingering.
