Penderyn Sherry Wood is a Welsh single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It pairs the fruity spirit of Penderyn, a distillery on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales, with maturation in sherry wood. The spirit is distilled on the Faraday still. In the glass it is a deep amber. The nose brings raisins, sultanas and toffee with hints of vanilla and fresh fruit. The palate is smooth and rounded, with dried fruit, dark chocolate, caramel and gentle spice, and the finish is warm and lingering with sweet sherry and a touch of oak.
