Penderyn – Sherrywood Finish Single Malt Welsh Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Penderyn Sherrywood Finish is a Welsh single malt from the Penderyn distillery, bottled by The Welsh Whisky Company at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no colour added. The whisky is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery uses its own Faraday still, a copper pot with a column of perforated plates, to make a light, fruity spirit. The nose brings green apple, hazelnut, soft toffee and sugared almonds. The palate is creamy, with dried fruit, honey and spiced sultanas. The finish is long, with sweet raisins and warm sherry sweetness.
