Penderyn – Sherrywood Single Malt Welsh Whisky Old Design (70cl)

Penderyn Sherrywood is a single malt Welsh whisky in a 70cl bottle, from the older bottle design. Sherry influence runs through it, from the first notes on the nose to the finish. The nose is complex but gentle, with floral fragrance arriving first, then spice and sherry. The palate begins almost delicate before the flavours build, with sweet orange taking over alongside herbal notes. Fruit and malt sit in balance, and the whisky moves smoothly across the palate. The finish carries brown sugar. Penderyn suggests drinking it neat, with a few drops of spring water, or over ice.
