Penderyn The Village – Icons of Wales No. 14 – Amarone Cask Finish (46%)

This is the 14th edition in Penderyn's Icons of Wales collection, a Welsh single malt finished in Amarone casks and bottled at 46% ABV. It marks 100 years of Portmeirion, the coastal village in north Wales created between 1925 and 1973 by the architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It is described as ripe plums, dark berries, vanilla and cocoa, with honey sweetness and spicy oak.
