Planteray OFTD is an overproof rum blended in the style of historic navy rums. It draws on rums from Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad, each matured in its country of origin before blending and bottling at 69% ABV. The profile is bold and layered, with molasses richness, roasted spice, tropical fruit and smoky caramel. It is intended for high-impact cocktails and sipping.
Tasting Notes
Rich molasses, burnt sugar, smoked caramel, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, overripe banana, pineapple, dark plum, roasted nuts and cocoa.
Explosive and full-bodied, with brown sugar, treacle, dark toffee, allspice, nutmeg, pepper, dried fruit, plantain, charred oak and subtle Jamaican funk.
Long, warm and intense, with lingering molasses, dark spice, charred sugar and tropical esters fading to a smoky, sweet finish.
