Port Askaig 45 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled by Speciality Drinks at 40.8% ABV. Port Askaig is a range of Islay single malts, and this one has spent 45 years in cask.
The original peat smoke is finely integrated, alongside ripe fruit, maritime minerality and old oak.
On the nose there are ripe citrus, yellow fruit and vanilla with sea salt, herbs and gentle peat smoke. The palate is silky, with honey, ripe fruit, fine spice, salinity and elegant smoke. The finish is long and dry, with smoke, citrus, salt and aged oak.
