This is a 45 year old Islay single malt distilled in 1968. It is a vatting of five sherry butts, married together for the final year of maturation.
The nose is full of thick, ripe fruit and heavy, sweet, sticky nectar, with a touch of menthol. On the palate are rich navel oranges and fleshy mango on a thick, warming texture, with green tea, mint leaves and tropical fruit.
The finish is clean and long, with a balanced minerality.
