Port Askaig 8 Years is an Islay single malt from the independent Port Askaig range by Elixir Distillers, and part of its core range. It is bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky matured in a mix of bourbon barrels, toasted American oak barrels, sherry butts, refill hogsheads and American oak casks.
It is described as gently peaty, with fresh citrus notes and sweet ginger biscuits.
