An Irish blend that pairs a high proportion of triple-distilled Irish pot still whiskey with selected grain whiskey. The pot still part is made from malted and unmalted barley and forms the spicy heart of the blend.
It matures in American oak bourbon casks that are on their first or second fill, which add vanilla, toasted wood and honey sweetness. It is bottled at 43.2% ABV without chill filtration.
The nose combines cinnamon, clove oil and white pepper with apple, ripe pear and charred oak. Cinnamon, green pepper and a hint of nutmeg lead on the palate, alongside orchard fruit, vanilla and toasted oak. The long finish is oily and spicy, with barley and a touch of honey.
