Powers – Johns Lane Release 12 Year Old (70cl)

Powers Johns Lane Release 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle. It celebrates the origin of the Powers tradition, using a pot still distillate true to the original John's Lane style. The whiskey has spent at least 12 years maturing, mainly in second-fill American bourbon casks, with a small share of distillate matured in Oloroso sherry butts. The nose is earthy, with leather, tobacco, charred wood, dark chocolate and treacle toffee. The palate is full-bodied and spicy, followed by vanilla, honey and dried apricot. The finish is a lingering honey sweetness on toasted oak.
