Pure Kentucky XO Small Batch (Willett) (70cl, 53.5%)

Pure Kentucky XO Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled by Willett in Bardstown, where it is also matured and bottled. It is bottled at 53.5% ABV (107 proof) in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colour. The bourbon is composed from two mashbills: 85% from one of 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% barley, and the remaining 15% from one of 52% corn, 38% rye and 10% barley. The nose offers toffee, fruit, eucalyptus and oak. On the palate cinnamon, toffee and caramel meet pepper and oak, and the short to medium finish closes with oak, chocolate and pepper.
