Quality House Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a bourbon in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is understood to be a rebottling of Heaven Hill's standard bourbon, reportedly made from a mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley.
As a Kentucky straight bourbon, it is matured in new charred oak barrels, with four years in the cask being enough before bottling. The label carries the term sour mash, a Kentucky practice of using material from earlier distillation runs to start new fermentations.
