Quinta do Vallado Vintage Port 2019 (75cl, 19.5%)

Quinta do Vallado Vintage Port 2019 is a full-bodied Douro port with ripe, soft tannins and good structure. It comes from vineyards the estate controls in Rio Torto and is made from a field blend of old vines. The grapes, 70% of them with stalks, were fermented for four days in lagares with periodic foot-treading. The wine then aged for 21 months in stainless steel vats before bottling at 19.5% ABV, with 96 g/l of residual sugar. Quinta do Vallado has belonged to the same family since 1716. This port suits being served on its own, or with aged Stilton and other blue cheeses and nuts.
