Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port 2016 (75cl)

Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port 2016 is a sweet single-quinta vintage port from the Upper Douro Valley, where the estate covers 1000 acres. The Symington family has owned it since 1989 and added a cooling system within the stone lagares to control fermentation. The 2016 blends Touriga Nacional (43%), Touriga Franca (25%) and Alicante Bouschet (17%), with Tinta Amarela and Sousão making up the rest. Residual sugar is 115 grams. The nose is warm and ripe. The palate is dense and dark, with fig, blueberry, blackberry and cassis, graphite and tar, and a smouldering finish with a touch of liquorice.
