Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 57.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills, and matured in bourbon-seasoned American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts.
The nose combines spice, fruit and toasted wood. The palate is full-flavoured and silky, balanced between spicy, fruity, sherry-led and toasted notes, and the finish is long.
