Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 57.5% without dilution. This is batch B1/24, and it is non-chill filtered.
It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple-distilled in copper pot stills. The unmalted barley is credited with a creamy texture and a spicy kick. Maturation is in a combination of Bourbon-seasoned American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts, which give the Redbreast sherry style.
