An 18-year-old single pot still Irish whiskey from Redbreast, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a permanent addition to the Redbreast range, made from malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled.
It is the first Redbreast to use cream sherry casks, sourced from the Antonio Páez Lobato cooperage. These join ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso oak, with a portion also aged in ruby Port.
The nose brings blackcurrants, raspberries, sugar-glazed cherries, dried fig, hazelnut chocolate, toasted almonds, cinnamon, polished oak and worn leather. The palate is full-bodied, with ginger, liquorice, dried fruits and orange peel. The finish is rich and lasting.
