Redbreast Lustau Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey, made as a collaboration between Midleton Distillery and Bodegas Lustau of Jerez, Spain. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whiskey is first matured in ex-bourbon and sherry-seasoned casks, then finished in first-fill Lustau Oloroso sherry butts.
The nose brings dark fruits, figs and dates with toasted nuts, marzipan, oak spice and citrus peel. The palate is silky, with sherried raisins, roasted nuts, baking spices and creamy vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit sweetness, toasted oak and cinnamon.
