Redbreast PX Edition is a single pot still Irish whisky from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, part of the Redbreast Iberian Series. It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) and is non-chill filtered.
The whisky first matures in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, then finishes in Pedro Ximénez hogsheads sourced from Antonio Páez Lobato in Jerez.
The nose brings dried figs, raisins, candied orange peel, dark chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate offers dark berry compote, sticky dates, plum and roasted walnuts, and the long finish carries dried fruit, caramelised sugar, sweet oak and lingering spice.
