Redbreast PX is a triple distilled single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It began as a limited release in the brand's Iberian Series and is now a permanent part of the range.
The whiskey first matures in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks, then is reracked into ex-Pedro Ximénez hogsheads for a finishing period.
The nose combines fruit, spices and toasted nuts with the gently sweet aroma of Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The palate is zesty and syrupy, balancing fruit, spice and toasted notes. The finish is rich and long, with sweet flavours that linger.
