Redwood Empire Pipe Dream is a blended bourbon from Graton Distilling Company in Sonoma County, California, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. The distillery blends its own distillate with bourbons sourced from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
The mashbill is 75% corn, 21% raw rye and 4% malted barley, and the spirit is made on a custom-built continuous micro-column still from Headframe Stills of Butte, Montana. It has won a Platinum medal at the LA Spirits Awards.
The nose brings maple, vanilla, honey, spearmint, leather and baking spice. The palate offers roasted pecan, coconut, orange oil and peach pie, and the finish is smooth and medium, with black pepper and toasted wood.
