Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel is a bottled-in-bond Kentucky bourbon from Buffalo Trace, in a 75cl bottle. It is aged for about 8 years in a single new charred American oak barrel and bottled at 100 proof. The mash bill is high in rye, which adds spice to the sweeter notes. The name comes from a stretch of farmland along the Kentucky River, near the distillery, and the limestone water used there is credited with the bourbon's character. The palate is described as toasted nuts, fruit, chocolate and marshmallow, with a hint of tobacco and caramel. The finish is silky, with lingering sweetness.
