SAB. Sunset Red is a blended Japanese whisky from the Saburomaru Distillery in Toyama, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the SAB. range, launched in 2024 as a rebranding of the distillery's blends.
Saburomaru is known for smokiness, and this blend keeps a smoky character alongside a rounded sweetness and a full body. The bottle is made with over 90% recycled glass.
On the nose there is an ocean breeze, woody notes, orange, ash, wax and caramel under gentle smoke. The palate is silky, with caramel, smoke and a little red apple, and the finish holds warm wood and sweetness.
