Giljagaur is a Christmas whisky from Sall Whisky Distillery, bottled at 50% ABV in a 50cl bottle. The release consists of 540 bottles, and the whisky is unpeated.
It matured for three years in a first fill PX sherry hogshead, followed by a finish in smaller first fill ex-Oloroso quarter casks.
Giljagaur is the second Yule Lad in the distillery's Christmas series, drawn from Icelandic folklore. He hides in ravines and steals the creamy foam from the milk buckets in the cowshed.
