Scarabus Sherry Batch Strength Edition Hunter Laing (70cl, 57%)

This is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled as the Scarabus Sherry Batch Strength Edition at 57% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky was matured in Bourbon casks and first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, which bring smoke and maritime notes together with dark fruit and a pronounced sherry influence. The nose offers peat smoke, dark berries and sea salt. The palate is leathery and chocolatey, with smoke and dark fruit. The finish is long, strong and fruity.
