Scarabus Sherry Cask Edition Hunter Laing (70cl, 46%)

Scarabus Sherry Cask Edition is a smoky Islay single malt bottled by Hunter Laing at 46%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky matured in bourbon casks and was then given further time in first fill Oloroso sherry casks, which add fruit and depth to the Islay character of peat smoke and sea salt. The nose is of Islay peat smoke, dark berries and sea salt. On the palate there is leather, chocolate, smoke and dark fruit, and the finish is long and fruity.
